CHILDHOOD SCOLIOSIS
CAN BOWEN ALTER THE OUTCOME
PROOF of CONCEPT
2023 - 2026
Small study of 6 children under the age of 18
Medically diagnosed with Scoliosis
X-Ray imaging confirming the diagnosis
Four (4x) Bowen Sessions
3 Monthly — 1x session follow ups and re-assessment
Individually tailored PT exercise program
Lifestyle changes - posture and activity
Final Review at 12 month anniversary
Should this Proof of Concept study be successful the intention is to undertake a larger study with two cohorts, one following the Bowen Protocol the other the Standard Medical Approach. Duration of the study would be over a two year period (2024-2026) with the results being reported at an International Scoliosis Symposium.
PELVIC OBLIQUITY (PO)
PREVALENCE?
OBSERVATIONAL STUDY
2024 — 2025
A One Year Observational Study to assess the PREVALENCE of Pelvic Obliquity (PO) in the general Bowen client population.
Twenty ‘experienced’ Bowen Practitioners from around the world will be taught to assess ‘new’ clients for Pelvic Obliquity. Our expectation is we will generate between 2,000 and 2,500 observational cases and see a high incidence of Pelvic Obliquity.
Note:
In more than two decades of work we have observed a 90+% rate of PO and believe it to be a significant contributing factor in:
Low back pain and dysfunction
Hip and Pelvis related pain and dysfunction
Knee pain and dysfunction
Neck and Shoulder dysfunction
Ankle and Foot dysfunction
Gait related issues
Hip and Knee replacement surgeries
